Holly’s 1yr Anniversary

In May we celebrated our one‑year anniversary of OKC Therapy Dog visits on site — a heartfelt milestone for our well‑being program. We offered treats for team members, pup‑friendly takeaways, and a beautiful balloon arch for photo ops!
Thank you to our site leadership for championing and supporting this initiative. Your commitment brought moments of calm, connection, and stress relief across departments, offering emotional support and plenty of smiles.
These visits reinforce our culture of care and show how leadership commitment directly enables employee well‑being initiatives to flourish. We’re grateful for your continued encouragement and look forward to the the future.
Thank you to the handlers, Human Animal Link of Oklahoma Foundation (H.A.L.O.), and all the amazing volunteers who make this possible — we couldn’t do it without you! ❤️ 🐾

You need to meet Holly!
Jason Thomas • 2nd Human Resources Sr. Manager & HR Site Leader at Boeing
Nobody can ruin my smile today because the Boeing OKC team had another round with therapy dogs sponsored by our Boeing Well-Being programming. 7 of us from the HR team broke from our monthly roundtable early to go see the furry teammates in action. Here are a couple of questions I can now answer:
Can Great Pyrenees fly airplanes? Absolutely, at least Holly can! (proof in photo) 🛩️🐾
Do HR professionals need therapy too? Yes, so much.
Thank you to the teammates who support the effort to ensure this can happen at Boeing OKC every month! Angelica C. Manolo Cruz Michelle Smith
Thank you to Jaci Maguire for bringing Holly and supporting each event!

I would like to nominate Jackie Maguire for News 9’s Hometown Heroes, because she is one of the most selfless, quietly impactful people in our community.
Jackie is the devoted owner and handler of Holly, a therapy dog who volunteers all over OKC. Holly brings comfort to so many people, but it’s Jackie who makes that impact possible. She trained Holly and spent countless hours navigating the administrative requirements and security approvals needed for Holly to volunteer in highly regulated environments – which in some cases took years.
Most people see the smiles therapy dogs bring, but very few understand the extraordinary amount of time, paperwork, training, managing, and persistence required of their handlers. Thanks to Jackie, Holly regularly visits sick children in the hospital, listens to young readers at the library, greets returning military members at the airport, and visits our workplace to help lower employee stress. Holly has even been featured in charity calendars, raising money for meaningful causes. Tomorrow, Holly will be greeting families of fallen military heroes for the Gary Sinise Foundation’s Snowball Express event at the airport – one of the many ways Jackie uses Holly’s gifts to serve others.
But Jackie’s heart for service goes far beyond her work with Holly. She has fostered dogs in need, sometimes driving hours with little to no notice to reach a shelter before an animal is euthanized. She has paid it forward at grocery stores for strangers. She has opened her home and rearranged her life to care for her in-laws when they could no longer care for themselves. And within our workplace, Jackie is always the first to volunteer for celebrations – baby showers, holiday potlucks, team events – you name it. If something needs to be done to make others feel supported, Jackie is already doing it.
Jackie doesn’t seek recognition. She simply cares and acts. And because of that, countless people and animals have been helped, comforted, or even saved.
If Jackie isn’t exactly the kind of person Hometown Heroes is meant to honor, I don’t know who is.
Thank you for considering Jackie for this well-deserved recognition.
