Why every Wednesday is better with Holly at Will Rogers Airport……
Every Wednesday evening, Holly the gentle giant trots into Will Rogers Airport like she owns the place — not because she’s bossy, but because everyone there knows and loves her. Her fluffy tail sways with purpose as she begins her weekly mission: spreading comfort, calm, and joy.
Holly started her night by visiting all her regular friends. The reservation employees lit up the moment they saw her big white face peek around the corner. Holly leaned in for her signature hugs — the kind that melt stress right off a person’s shoulders.
Then she padded over to TSA, where officers paused their busy routines just long enough to scratch her ears and smile. A few military recruits spotted her next, and their serious expressions softened instantly. Holly has that effect on people — even the toughest hearts warm up around her.
With her rounds complete, Holly headed toward the gates. But first… a very important stop.
Starbucks. Her favorite baristas were already reaching for the cup. She sat politely, tail sweeping the floor, waiting for her beloved pup cup. One happy slurp later, she was ready for her gate‑to‑gate adventure.
Down the concourse she went, stopping to greet her friends at every gate. Some travelers met her for the first time and couldn’t believe their luck. Holly even made a few new buddies heading to Salt Lake City, who insisted she was the best part of their travel day.
Flights were delayed here and there, but Holly didn’t mind — delays just meant more time to help people relax, laugh, and forget the clock. She leaned against legs, offered gentle nudges, and soaked up all the love people were eager to give.
When she finally reached the end of the terminal, Holly made her last stop of the night at Osteria. The staff greeted her like family, wrapping her in hugs and sending her off with smiles that would last long after she left.
With her job well done, Holly headed home — tired, happy, and still just as fluffy as when she arrived. Another Wednesday night, another airport full of hearts made a little lighter.
