Kids Share Love With Holly’s Comfort Crew

Holly wanted to make absolutely sure we were going to see her KIDS today. And of course, she had to remind me — loudly, with her tail — “Don’t miss the exit!” Because apparently I can navigate airports, hospitals, and life in general… but Holly thinks I might forget how doors work.

Honestly, she acts like she’s the supervisor and we are just the interns.

We kicked off the day at the adult unit, where several people clearly needed a heavy dose of Holly‑therapy. The moment she walked in, the whole room lit up like someone flipped the “joy” switch. People hugged her, petted her, and poured so much love on her that I’m pretty sure she floated out of the room like a furry balloon. A few even cried because they were so happy — which, honestly, is the correct emotional response to Holly.

Then it was time to see Holly’s kids, and that’s when the real chaos — the happy kind — began. The kids practically sprinted to her like she was handing out free puppies. They hugged her, sat with her, leaned on her, and treated her like the world’s softest emotional support couch.

Holly did her job like a pro: tail wagging, head tilting, soaking up every ounce of affection. By the time we left, the adults felt calmer, the kids felt braver, and Holly was ready for a nap the size of Oklahoma.

Another successful mission for the comfort crew.

A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

Today I got to visit my kids at the hospital — the absolute best part of my week! 🧒🐶 I walked in and saw a mix of new faces and some of my regulars who looked at me like, “Oh no… the day is coming when we won’t get to see Holly anymore.” 😢

My human told them they can write to me anytime. ✉️🐾 I’ll figure out the keyboard somehow… even if I have to type with my nose. 🤓👃⌨️

And guess what!!!! The boy who used to be scared of me? HUGE progress today! 🎉

Two weeks ago he was hiding at the back of the room, acting like I was a T‑Rex instead of a therapy dog. He wouldn’t come near me, wouldn’t look at me, wouldn’t even breathe in my direction.

But today? He came over slowly — like I might suddenly break into jazz hands — but he DID it! He sat right next to me, patted my head, AND held my paw. 🐾❤️ My human even showed him she wasn’t holding my leash. It was just me, sitting politely like the world’s fluffiest therapist, waiting for my patient.

He told me I was “pretty great for a large dog,” which I’m absolutely putting on my résumé. He said he was only used to small dogs and big dogs scared him. Maybe he had a bad experience once — I don’t know — but I’m here to help him rewrite that story. One paw at a time. 🐶💛I was so proud of him.

I knew I could change his mind. I mean, have you seen me? I’m adorable. It was only a matter of time before he realized I’m basically a giant stuffed animal with a heartbeat.

Another good day with my kids — full of hugs, bravery, and emotional support delivered by yours truly. 🐶💛

Don’t worry, tiny humans — my human handed out ALL my cards again 🃏🃏 and told them they can write to me whenever they need me. I’ll always be here for you. I’m basically a furry on‑call therapist. 💁‍♀️🐾 I never knew I had an email address or what that means, but my human told them about it. It is something like hollyscomfortcrew@gmail.com. It sounds really cool that I can stay in touch with you! Because I will miss seeing you!

My kids had a million questions — but of course most of them were about Nugget, my dramatic little brother. 🙄. HELLO? These are MY kids. Why are they asking when he can come visit? This is my fan club. My turf. My spotlight. 🌟🐾

My human told them Nugget can come once he stops talking. Which… since he’s a little brother and a professional pain in the tail… might take a while. 😂 Honestly, he’s so high‑maintenance he should come with a warning label. But sure, kids — keep asking about him. I’ll just be over here being fabulous.

Here’s the update:

  • Nugget is still afraid of his own shadow. 👻➡️🐶💨
  • Nugget is still a fraidy‑cat. 😱🐾
  • Nugget still thinks wooden floors are “dangerous.” 🚫🪵

My human actually bought him boots so he wouldn’t panic walking across the floor. BOOTS. For a dog. 👢🐶 I laughed so hard my tail almost fell off. 😂

Then she got him stickers for his feet so he wouldn’t slide anymore. Stickers. On his paws. 🎟️🐾 He looked like a toddler who escaped from the arts‑and‑crafts box. Absolute chaos.

He is 100% high maintenance. A whole mess of a little brother. 🌀 But… I guess I love him anyway. ❤️

The kids thought this was the funniest thing ever. They laughed, hugged me 🤗🐶, asked more questions, and told me they wished I could stay forever. Honestly? Same. 💛. I love seeing MY KIDS…

Oh I almost forgot! My human is creating a coloring book for my kids! Here is a sneak preview of the cover. If you would like a copy, please email me and she will send to you!

Another great day with my kids — and another day Nugget proved he is 10% fluff, 90% drama. 🎭🐾

A bunch of people told my human she should write a whole book about me. A book! 📚 I mean… obviously. I’ve been carrying this whole operation on my furry shoulders from day one. What do you think??? Personally, I think she needs a little encouragement — and maybe a nudge the size of Oklahoma. 🌪️

I can already see it: “Holly’s Adventures” splashed across the New York Times Best Sellers List. YAY!!! 🎉🐾 I mean, come on… I’m a fantastic topic. I provide drama, comedy, emotional support, and occasional chaos. I’m basically a four‑legged franchise waiting to happen. Don’t worry, I can supply plenty of adventures for her to write about. I’m basically a walking sitcom with paws. 🐶💁‍♀️
