Today was the Summer Bash at Integris, and Holly had an absolute blast! She trotted in like she owned the place, soaking up sunshine, smiles, and all the attention a fluffy superstar deserves.
A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

Whew… what a morning! I had to get ready for the Summer Bash, and let me tell you — being fabulous takes work. My human painted my nails purple. PURPLE. I looked like I was ready for a doggy disco. The kids always laugh when my nails match theirs, so I figured I’d give them a show.
Then my human put this stuff called Street Paws on my feet so I wouldn’t fry my toes on the concrete. My human owns about a million pairs of shoes — seriously, there’s a whole shoe zoo in the closet and I am not like Nugget. I do not do footwear. So instead, they pamper my paws like I’m royalty being prepped for a red‑carpet event. Honestly, I should probably have a throne.

We loaded up the truck and headed out. First stop: energy drinks and coffee — because my humans run on caffeine and I run on pure chaos. The girl at Scooters took one look at me and said I was so pretty she handed over a pup cup with a COOKIE in it. A whole cookie. For breakfast. I’m telling you, I could absolutely live this “drive‑thru princess” lifestyle. If being adorable gets me snacks, I’m never brushing my fur again.

When we got to the hospital, I helped unload the truck by pulling the wagon. My humans said I was a “big help,” which is absolutely true — I’m basically a working dog and a supermodel. I haul equipment with the strength of a tiny horse, but I do it with runway‑ready hair and painted toenails. Honestly, I should be paid in treats for all this talent.

I was in charge of the sidewalk chalk art booth, and let me tell you — I took my job VERY seriously. I inspected every masterpiece like a fluffy art critic. When it came time to pick the winner, I chose the one that featured me, obviously. That’s not bias… that’s just excellent artistic judgment. I mean, who wouldn’t vote for the picture of the gorgeous Great Pyrenees?
There were so many activities, I could barely keep up. It was 104 degrees, and I have enough hair to knit a sweater for every kid there — maybe even matching hats. The kids gave me a Hawaiian lei and giggled because it matched my purple toenails. What can I say? When you’re a fashion icon, even your accessories coordinate themselves.

Then they talked me into going down the water slide. They were all, “Oh Holly, it’s soooo much fun!” like I was about to experience the thrill of a lifetime. I am not a water dog, and I’m pretty sure someone gave me a “helpful nudge” that felt a lot like being pushed. One second I was majestic and fluffy, the next I was zooming down like a soggy marshmallow. But hey — at 104 degrees, even a dramatic water slide betrayal can cool a girl off.

Next up was cornhole. Nobody bothered to explain the rules to me — apparently you’re supposed to throw the beanbag, not politely drop it straight into the hole with your mouth like a helpful, oversized pigeon. But hey, a win is a win, and they let me keep the points because I’m adorable and also because no one wanted to argue with a 145‑pound athlete. I didn’t win the game, but I definitely won “fluffiest competitor,” which is the only title that really matters.
Then came the dunk tank. My humans said, “Don’t worry, Holly, the kids are tiny. They can’t possibly dunk you. Just sit up there and make silly faces.” LIES. ALL LIES. Turns out if a whole pack of determined children teams up, they absolutely can hit the target. Next thing I knew — SPLASH — I was underwater like a giant fluffy submarine. Good thing I know how to swim… and good thing wet dog is apparently hilarious to everyone except me.

Rolling in the green grass is my absolute favorite thing, especially when there are bubbles involved. I chased them like a fluffy tornado, leaping, twirling, and trying to catch every single one with my nose. My humans said I looked ridiculous, but I’m pretty sure I was performing Olympic‑level bubble athletics. Nothing beats sunshine, soft grass, and bubbles floating everywhere — it’s the perfect recipe for a happy Pyrenees.

Lunch was amazing — I scored a hot dog, part of a hamburger, and some chips. Then I got ice cream going home. At this point, I’m convinced I should be invited to every party. I mean, who wouldn’t want a giant fluffy guest who eats like a champion?
I love seeing my kids, and my kids totally love me. I’m basically the official Happiness Ambassador — spreading joy, wagging tails, and occasionally mooching snacks.

When I got home, I was completely wiped out. I flopped down like a giant fluffy pancake. The kids gave me a red lei for Nugget, so I proudly delivered it to him like a royal gift. He sniffed it, puffed up his chest, and immediately wanted to hear every detail about the party. I told him maybe next year he can come… but only if he promises not to embarrass me by wearing shoes.
