Holly the Airport Dog: Spreading Smiles and Comfort

Tonight was surprisingly quiet at the airport. No frantic crowds, no dramatic announcements, and only a few planes running late. But Holly didn’t mind — because even on a slow night, she still spotted the passengers.

And oh, she saw them.

Every single one of them perked up the moment Holly trotted by in her vest. Quiet night or not, she made sure to deliver her usual airport magic — tail wags, gentle nudges, and hugs that could fix almost any travel delay.

Even with only a handful of late flights, Holly managed to brighten the evening for everyone she met. Because at the airport, she doesn’t need chaos to make an impact. She just needs passengers.

And tonight? She found them.

A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

Tonight was pretty quiet at the airport. No wild crowds, no runaway suitcases, no dramatic “LAST CALL!” announcements echoing through the terminal. Only a few planes were delayed — which is fine, because I don’t need chaos to do my job. I just need people.

And trust me… I saw my friends old and new. So, I went straight to work.

First stop? Vega, my airport bestie, who had a special pup cup waiting just for me. And let me tell you — I didn’t just slurp it… I performed it. I went at that pup cup like a seasoned athlete in the Treat Olympics. Foam? Gone. Whipped cream? Vanished. Cup? Emotionally defeated. I mean, I am a professional. If there were medals for pup‑cup consumption, I’d need a bigger vest to hold them all.

Then I started my journey, trotting through all the gates like I was inspecting my kingdom. Delta was pretty quiet tonight — barely anyone there. But Southwest and American? Always busy. Always full of humans who need hugs, smiles, or at least one big dog walking by to make their day better.

That’s where I met a little girl who was very afraid of me. I get it. I’m big. I’m basically the size of a small pony. Sometimes when I look a kid directly in the eye and my head is bigger than theirs, it can be… a lot.

But my human gave her one of my stickers — and suddenly she had a magical badge of protection. She held it like it was a shield forged by wizards.

My human took me to the next row to visit some older kids and adults, and guess what? That same little girl walked right up to me… and gently petted my ear.

My ears are VERY soft. She smiled. She giggled. I think I won her over. The sticker did its job!

I met several adults who told me I’m pretty — which, honestly, I hear a lot. I had tons of photo ops. Everywhere I go, people take my picture like I’m famous. And that’s okay! It makes them happy to have a picture of me even when I’m not close by.

My human told some of the adults about my website, and several pulled it up on their phones right there at the gate. One gentleman was from Scotland!

Did you know I’m known internationally now? People in nine different countries are reading about my adventures. Nine! That’s more countries than I have toes.

It’s amazing. I’m so glad I can help people smile all over the world. More people need to smile and be kind to each other — that’s my job, and I take it seriously.

Honestly, it’s hard to believe people all over the world know me. I mean, I’m just out here handing out hugs, stickers, and alot of smiles— and suddenly I’m international. INTERNATIONAL! My human told me I have readers in nine different countries. Nine! That’s more countries than I have toes. Sometimes I wonder if I should get a passport so I can go visit them. Can you imagine me trotting through customs? “Yes hello, it’s me, Holly — global comfort ambassador.” I’d need my own little suitcase, maybe even a tiny neck pillow. At this rate, I’ll be doing world tours. “Holly’s Comfort Crew: Global Edition.” I’m not saying I’m famous… but I’m also not not saying it.

Now I need to rest up, because tomorrow I’m off to Boeing to see the employees. I’m an honorary Boeing employee, you know. I’m even on an org chart as the Canine Engagement Lead.

That’s a very important role. And I do it well — with hugs, wiggles, and maybe a pup cup if someone loves me enough.
