A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

It’s Wednesday night, which means it’s time for me to clock in for my weekly shift at Will Rogers — Canine Comfort Crew, reporting for duty! I strutted in wearing my vest proudly decorated with flight crew wings from every airline. I’ve earned them fair and square with hugs, wiggles, and emotional‑support excellence. Honestly, I look like a very large, very fluffy pilot!
First stop: the reservation people — my airport besties. They always need extra love, especially when passengers are acting like they’re starring in a dramatic soap opera called “The Lines Are Too Long and It’s Definitely Not My Fault.” I hop up on the scale like I always do, just saying hello, doing my big‑dog thing… and of course someone asks if my humans are trying to check me as baggage. One person even wanted to know if they charge a baggage fee for me. A fee. For me.

As if! I’m practically a celebrity. And also way too large to fit in anything except maybe a shipping container — and even then, only if I curl up really tight.
Tonight’s weigh‑in was a victory: 144.00 pounds. Down a whole pound! Which obviously means I’ve earned more treats. That’s not just logic — that’s airport science, and I stand by it.
Then I headed down to see the Ft. Sill recruits. They were gearing up for a long night — several more were expected later, and once they arrive, it’s straight to boot camp at 1:00am. No naps, no snacks, no “five more minutes.” Just instant boot camp. I don’t know how they do it. I personally require at least 12 hours of beauty sleep.
But the best part… cookie taste‑testing. This is where my elite skills truly shine. Tonight’s champion: the sugar cookie! I announced the winner with great authority, because I take my judging responsibilities VERY seriously. Honestly, Gordon Ramsay wishes he had my palate.
I spotted Aaron at TSA, working hard and looking very official, but I missed my special friend Daisy. Her schedule changed and she left before I got there, which was tragic because she loves my hugs. She practically melts when I lean all 144 pounds of love against her. It’s fine though — I’ll catch her next week. She can’t resist me for long. I’m basically her emotional support Great Pyrenees, whether CLEAR has a policy for that or not.
Then it was off to the gates, where my bestie Vega was waiting like the world’s most enthusiastic welcome committee. But what really makes Vega elite? She makes sure I get pup cups. That’s right — she’s not just a hugger, she’s a provider. Honestly, at this point she’s basically my personal airport barista.

We met people from all over the world tonight, and let me tell you — I am feeling very global. I already know people from 12 different countries read about my adventures (I’m basically an international superstar at this point), but seeing two separate groups heading to Casablanca, Morocco two weeks in a row made me feel downright worldly.
I had so many photo ops — honestly, I think half the airport has my picture on their phones now. I never imagined I’d be this famous, but here we are. I’m just a big fluffy girl doing my job… and accidentally becoming a global icon.
There weren’t as many kids tonight — probably because school is back in session and their parents finally reclaimed their sanity — but I still strutted up and down the concourse like the Chief Happiness Officer of Will Rogers. Any kid I spotted got the full Holly treatment: tail wag, smile, fluff inspection, and emotional upgrade.
Kids were putting my stickers everywhere — on water bottles, luggage, and to be part of entire sticker collections. I may have “accidentally” covered up a few other stickers, but that’s not my fault. The kids kept putting me on top. I was front and center I can’t help being the star of the sticker show.
And the grown‑ups? Oh, I handled them too. Nervous flyers, tired travelers, people who looked like they’d been awake since 1997 — I gave them all a little boost. Some needed a smile, some needed a hug, and some just needed to look at my majestic face and remember that life isn’t that bad.
Making people feel better is my specialty. I’m basically emotional support with fur… and a fan club.

I finally got to see one of my big fans over at Southwest. I hadn’t seen him in weeks, but the moment he spotted me, he lit up like someone had just handed him a free upgrade to first class. That’s the Holly Effect.
And then I got to see another one of my Southwest buddies who’s been out recovering from an accident. I was very proud of myself for not knocking him over with my excitement. But he was happy to see me, and honestly, I think my fluff has healing powers.
Several passengers told my humans they were doing great ministry work by bringing me around — which is true, because spreading joy is literally my full‑time job. Then people started pulling up my website right there at the gate, realizing they were in the presence of a four‑legged influencer. I mean… folks from 12 countries follow my adventures. Twelve! I’m basically an international celebrity with fur.

Honestly, who could resist me? I’m adorable, enormous, and fully committed to my brand: hugs, smiles, emotional support and premium fluff.
Down at the American gates, my friend Gina needed a hug. It had been one of those days — you know, the kind where humans look like they’ve been wrestling luggage and emotions for eight hours straight. While she was talking to a passenger about traveling with dogs, the passenger kept sneaking looks at me, like they were trying to figure out if I came with my own boarding pass.
And that’s when it hit me: I really need my humans to take me on a trip. Maybe Texas. It’s close, my humans have family there, and I’m brave… but let’s be honest — I’m also enormous. I will absolutely need first class.
Not because I’m a celebrity (though, hello, I absolutely am), but because I physically cannot fit under the seat. Maybe two paws could squeeze under there, but the rest of me? No chance. I’m a Great Pyrenees, not a carry‑on.
Eventually it was time to head home. A working girl can only spread so much joy before she needs to flop dramatically on the living room floor. I have to rest up because Friday is hospital day, and my kids they are going to LOSE THEIR MINDS when they see me.
I know they’ve missed me — I’m basically their giant emotional support marshmallow — and I can’t wait to make them smile, wiggle, and forget all their worries the moment I walk in. Honestly, I don’t know how they survive two whole weeks without me.
