Sugar Cookies, Pup Cups & Smiles: Holly’s Airport Work Day

It was another blazing hot summer day, but Holly knew she had a job to do. So she marched into the airport like a furry little firefighter reporting for duty — tail up, tongue out, and absolutely melting, but still ready to work.

A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

Reported for work! I trotted into the airport like the professional comfort dog I am — tail up, fluff flowing, ready to clock in. First stop: all my friends at the reservation desks and the Military Welcome Center. They had cookies out (as usual), and of course I had to taste test. Tonight’s winner? Sugar cookies! The lady makes them extra‑large, which is perfect because I am also extra‑large. She clearly understands her audience.

Then it was off to see Aaron at TSA PreCheck and the girls at CLEAR. They’re always so excited to see me — I get back scratches, cuddles, and a full “Welcome, Miss Holly!” greeting like I’m some kind of VIP. (Which… I am.)

After that, I went on my mission to find little humans and make them smile. But first, I stopped by to see my favorite barista. She had a pup cup waiting in the refrigerator for me because she knew I’d be by. And not the tiny pup cup — oh no. She gets me the extra‑large coffee cup size because, as she says, “Holly is a large girl, so she needs a large treat.” My humans say I’m spoiled. I don’t know what that means, but I’m pretty sure it translates to “special,” and obviously that’s true.

My humans keep telling people it’s okay to say nice things about me as long as my head gets bigger instead of my paws. Apparently big feet are a problem. I don’t really understand, but I’ll try to keep my ego in my head and not in my toes.

I got to see my special friends at Southwest Airlines

while I was visiting them, I met a little human who absolutely melted my heart. He sat in his stroller and laughed every time he looked at me — the good belly‑laugh kind. My human gave his mom and dad one of my trading cards so they could read stories to him about my adventures. He did not want to give that card up. He held it tight and gave it about a hundred baby kisses. I think he might be my newest fan.
