Holly’s Boeing Adventure: QA Auditors, Big Dogs & Halloween Prep

Holly and I went to visit the QA Auditors at Boeing today — because apparently someone has to make sure the airplanes behave themselves.

A Little Paw-Mail from Holly!

Today was supposed to be a simple trip to Boeing for a QA audit meeting… but of course, nothing is ever simple when you live with Nugget.

It was raining when my human and I were getting ready to leave. I don’t mind the rain — it makes everything smell extra interesting — but Nugget took it as a personal invitation. The moment the car door opened, boom, he launched himself inside like he had been training for a rocket‑powered boarding drill. And once he was in, he absolutely refused to get out. He wanted to come so badly.

Honestly, he’s doing much better with his training. He just has to stop talking so much. If he could keep his opinions to himself for five minutes, he’d be able to finish his certification and come with us. He’s growing up, though. He’ll be three next month, and I’ll be seven. We don’t share a birthday, but I’m pretty sure my human will give us special treats on each other’s birthdays anyway. She’s predictable like that — in a good way.

The meeting went well. I saw each auditor, and they all petted me and told me how pretty I was and how BIG I am. My human always jokes with them about Nugget, telling them he’s huge too, and that she never got a pony when she was little, so now she just has very large dogs. I don’t know what a pony is, but it sounds like something Nugget would try to chase.

After the meeting, we headed home. Everyone was happy to see me — the Auditors always seem to miss the events when they visit the sites, so today felt special for them.

I’ll be back at Boeing on the 29th for our Halloween event. We’ll have five dogs coming, all dressed up. It’s going to be so much fun.

My costume is already finished, and my human is making Nugget’s so he can go trick‑or‑treating in the neighborhood. He’s going to be Zorro — he already has the black mask, so all he needs is a cape. He’ll look ridiculous, but in a cute way.

I can’t wait!
